AFTER

THE JOB

A 1938 upright on the second floor of a three-decker, above a staircase with two half-landings and a banister the owner had just refinished.

WHAT WE DID

Four movers, a piano board and straps. Pedals and the lower panel came off first, the banister was boxed in cardboard and the piano went down on its back.

RESULT

Twenty minutes on the stairs, no mark on the banister, and the piano was standing in the new front room before noon.
